Lazy Days~

I have been lazy, obviously, and haven't blogged in a long while. Being so damn busy with work and other aspects of life means less time on the blog. Truth be told, I'm surprised at myself for keeping this going for as long as it has been. My previous attempts at keeping a journal/diary/continuous documentation of any sort have failed pathetically; the longest record prior to this was 3 whopping days. I've sure come a long way!

Anyway, enough with the lip-flapping. Here's what's on my mind: upcoming Thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings, the new season of Project Runway (finally), Sara Sidle leaving Gill and the CSI team *tear*, R leaving for his annual 3-week Oz trip *a bit lonely* and missing him, my company helping me buy a new laptop *joy*, my financial advisor shooting down my idea of becoming a proud Chinchilla parent *sob* and, of course, Black Friday next week.

Ah, Black Friday. How I loath and love thee. I was just on the phone with Em the other day reminiscing our holiday days back at FAO. Fun times! As bad as the chaos got, I do kind of miss it. Only kind of, mind you. It's my favorite time of year and I really DO love shopping (of course) for presents. Then I think about the parking madness (off-site!), the stupid people that come out in droves during this time of year, the traffic from hell (this year, it'll be all 18 levels of hell combined I'm sure), and oh good grief. Em's done all her shopping online this year and she's almost done. ALMOST DONE! I was supposed to have had all my shopping planned out by now, if not at least half way done, but I've been so busy that it just hasn't happened.

Then again, the craziness is all part of the experience and I will be at the mall (still undecided on which on) when it opens. What I will not be doing is camping outside of Best Buy the night before. I left my camping-out-for-stuff days behind when I finished high school and am definitely not up to such antics anymore. That is, unless the local Mini Cooper dealership was giving away new ones...

No matter what your stance is on global warming, this is a pretty good argument.
